Digital experience for a smart residential complex. live and in use by real tenants.

My role & context.

Design Lead at EPAM Hong Kong, leading two designers alongside product and development. Responsible for the full tenant experience — access, payments, services, maintenance — every touchpoint, designed from scratch.

A smart residential complex is not a single product. It's a system of experiences that never stops running. Multiple vendors, smart devices, distributed teams across time zones. Constraints weren't the exception — they were the environment.

What I did & the outcome.

Started with discovery — workshops, service mapping, user interviews with real tenants in Tokyo. Designed the system before a single screen. Information architecture, core flows, tested prototypes, and a visual language functional enough to be trusted and refined enough to be felt.

Shipped within timeline. Live across multiple buildings, used by real tenants every day. Complex orchestration — vendors, technology, people — that landed as one coherent, considered experience.
